Rebecca R. Epstein

Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Rebecca Epstein spent her formative years on the water and on the soccer field while attending Ashley River Creative Arts School, Ashley Hall and Bishop England respectively.  While in high school, Rebecca's parents taught her the value of volunteerism and making a positive impact in her community.  Ms. Epstein served her community by coaching youth soccer teams throughout high school.

Rebecca attended the University of South Carolina on a soccer scholarship, where she excelled as leading scorer in the 2000 – 2001 season and graduated in 2004.  While keeping an extremely busy schedule playing soccer and keeping up with her studies, Ms. Epstein volunteered as a math and language tutor for at risk youth.

In 2005, Ms. Epstein returned to Charleston and worked for Southern Components, Inc. prior to and while attending the Charleston School of Law. As a law student, she studied International Law abroad in Granada, Spain and founded Alliance For Equality at the Charleston School of Law, and was a Big Sister in the Big Sisters/ Little Sisters Program.  Rebecca was also an active member in the Evening Law Students Association while attending CSOL.

She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2010 and immediately jumped into contract work before reaching out to her friend/law school alum/co-founder Adam Howell to create Epstein & Howell, in December 2010.  Rebecca and Adam's shared values of volunteerism and making a positive impact in their community made their collaboration an easy transition.

Through referrals and word-of-mouth, Ms. Epstein and Mr. Howell are building the firm of their dreams from the pluff mud up. When she’s not playing violin, guitar or piano, you may find Rebecca whipping up something fantastic in the kitchen (ask her about her homemade pasta) or playing with her grey dog, Karma.

Mrs. Epstein focuses her practice on Corporate Law including small business consulting and formations, drafting and revising contracts of all types and corporate litigation.  With a patient ear dedicated to the businesses, individuals, friends and relatives she serves, Rebecca provides sound guidance to her clients. She helps in selecting the correct entity for startups, drafting all corporate governance agreements and documentation, drafting contracts tailored to her clients needs and determining when to pursue litigation to resolve a dispute. In each facet of her practice, Rebecca helps to ensure a bright future for her clients, both now and as they grow.
